When we hear the word “welcome” it can mean so many different thing to us. We may say welcome to a guest, as a means of polite hospitality. We may say welcome to a visitor, so that he knows he may stay, for a short while. We may even say welcome to a complete stranger simple because we do not know what else to say. However, when we say to you, “Welcome to Oak Ridge Bible Church"! We hope you understand that we wish to open to you the door to our hearts, as a spiritual family. We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is far more than can be contained in a cold institution. A church is a visible, local expression of the Body of Christ, and each person who makes up a part of that Body is an essential component to the whole. In other words, we are so excited to welcome you, because we have been waiting for you. Not because Christ has left us inept, but because we know that as we grow in number, we grow in possibilities. Possibilities to learn from you, as you learn with us. Opportunity to serve in ways that God has uniquely gifted you, spiritually; and ordained for you to complement His Body here in the greater Biddeford/Saco community, by serving with us at Oak Ridge.
Therefore, I would like to personally say to you, “welcome”! I am excited to imagine what the Lord has in store for us.
